After 4 long years of waiting, Wavorly is finally releasing new material in the form of "The EP," a four song collection of all new music produced by Grammy nominated Rob Graves (RED, Pillar, Kerrie Roberts) and Jasen Rauch (RED, Fireflight).

Formerly on Flicker Records/ Sony BMG, Wavorly was dropped in the spring of 2008, only months before the eventual dissolution of Flicker Records itself in 2009. Despite the disappointment and long road that came from this industry hardship, Wavorly decided to soldier on and continued writing and demoing until completing these tracks in early 2010.

"We were in a very stressful and draining place as a band when these songs started to come along," says Matt Lott (bass), "but we were so excited about them because they brought a new spirit to the band that helped us to really dig in and continue writing, pushing ourselves to not just write like we always had, but strive for the best melodies and music that we could produce." With the support and guidance of both Graves and Rauch, Wavorly found a new, yet fluid direction for their music and started preparing themselves to release the songs to a very vocal, if not patient fan-base. "Our fans are the MOST patient people in the world, and we just hope they're willing to come alongside of us for this new chapter in our bands' career," comments Lott.

Dave Stovall (vocalist, guitar) continues, "We finally realized after 5 years of doing this that the most important thing about our songs is the people that listen to them and support us. No more writing to be the "coolest" or the "most artsy" band, we just want to write to our fans. So far, we're getting great feedback from them about the songs live, so we're just going to keep on working for them."

Along with the uphill battle that comes with losing a record label, Wavorly also faced a crossroads of a different kind with the departure of founding drummer Jaime Hays in late 2010. Pursuing the call to foreign mission work, Hays left the band to work with JosiahVenture, a student outreach in the Czech Republic. "Losing Jaime was even harder than losing our Flicker family...it was truly like losing a brother," says Lott. Opening the playing field with an online application process, Wavorly found their missing piece in California native, Teddy Boldt. Facing his own personal crossroads, Boldt packed up everything he owned and made the move to Nashville, TN to take his place as the new drummer. "I'm glad to finally be a part of a band that I completely believe in, and I can't wait to see what awaits us in the future!" says Boldt.

Rounded out by Seth Farmer on guitar and Ryan Coon on keys, Wavorly is ready to bring the new music to whatever audience they get the opportunity to play for. "I think our new music and direction as a band is not only a natural progression from the first record, but where we as a band are supposed to be right now," says Coon. "Our new songs are the best songs to play live, and that makes me believe they are the best songs we've ever written and recorded." Farmer echos, "These songs are the songs that we have literally almost killed our career trying to make, and even though it was hard and sometimes even depressing, we couldn't be happier with the final result."

The release of the EP will be celebrated by a string of shows in the month of November, and an official EP release tour starting in late January that will continue through February. "We're currently lining up dates and venues for the EP release tour, and we can't wait to be able to see fans leaving the show with a physical copy of our EP! We're also hoping to bring along a few bands that we're friends with...but more info on that later," says Lott. "I am in love with the new Wavorly," comments Coon, "I hope our current fans and soon to be new fans feel that way as well."
